Anapnea aims to create a community with a spirit of productivity, learning and freedom, to give you a breath of fresh air. We maintain an open Gentoo Linux shell network that is accessed daily by hundreds of ethical hackers, developers, designers and geeks around the world. Our network is prepared with a full development environment, network utilities, webspace and secure email, games and more. We work on exciting projects and strive for progress through integrity.

Additionally, I did some very light mastering for the compilation. Nothing too heavy handed; some light topping, tailing and EQing.

Recently, I had the honour of having a chinwag with CHOMP.FM‘s Nadim Kobeissi about chipmusic. I spoke a little about the Scottish scene’s prominent artists, metrodub, Ultrachip and more!

A benefit compilation for Edinburgh venue The Forest, featuring contributions from every performer at 2010′s Ultrachip chipmusic festival.

All proceeds go directly to The Forest, an autonomous arts and cultural space in Edinburgh that currently faces closure unless it can raise enough funds to purchase its premises. More info about the situation is available here: theforest.org.uk

“I’d been working on a classical guitar and off-kilter Celtic guitar set for some time before going in a completely different direction [with] the whole chipmusic thing,” he says. “In 2004 I found the Japanese VGM and chiptune news site VORC.
